Mines Miles Stone
I am C.Veeraragu Retd. Joint Director (Mines) and Board of Director, Tamil Nadu Magnesite Ltd, an undertaking Government of Tamil Nadu.
I was appointed as Joint Director in G.O.2(D) No.20 Industries (E1) Department Dated (9.06.2003).
I was appointed as a Board of Director in G.O Rt.No.266 Industries (MME.2) Department Dated (2.09.2003) in the place of Thiru.Hans Raj Verma I.A.S commissioner of Geology and Mining.
The appointments were given by the Government of Tamil Nadu during the period of purathchi Thalavi. Dr. Amma as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. I was also appointed as one of the Pollution Control Board Members Vide G.O (ms)No.303 Environment & Forests (EC.3) Department Dated (10.11.2004) it was mentioned in the GO as Joint Director Geology and Mining. At the time i was the Joint Director Geology and Mining.
- I was appreciated by Thiru Hans Raj Verma I.A.S then Commissioner of Geology and Mining having participated in 19th World Mining Congress and Expo 2003 held at New Delhi - from November 1-5 2003. the Expo was inaugurated by His Excellency Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalam, Former President of India. During the inaugural function Myself and my colleagues C.R.Ranganathan, T.A Subbiah, V.Siva Subramaninan, and Ramesh have attended the function. The department of Geology and Mining was awarded commendation prize. The prize was given by the Minister of Mines, Government of India. Usually the prize should be received by the Commissioner but he pushed me in front and asked me to receive the prize from the Honorable Minster. It shows the Magnanimity of Thiru.Hans Raj Verma I.A.S. I served as a Nodal Officer in this Expo.
- During 2003 public Accounts Committee was convened by the Government of Tamil Nadu. The Committee appreciated Thiru.Ramesh Ram Misra I.A.S then secretary to Government Industries Department and Thiru Hans Raj Verma I.A.S Commissioner of Geology and Mining, having taken effective steps to collect the arrears of revenue to Government. as a result, I was given appreciation letter by Thiru.Hans Raj Verma I.A.S having pro active role under my Leadership in coordination meeting with the officials of the Accountant General and with the District Officers in the Public Accounts Committee Meeting.
- I was appreciated by Dr. Siva Suryan PhD I.A.S Director of Geology and Mining having presented my 12th Geological report carried out investigation of Molybdenum available in Limestone Dump ( India Cements Ltd - Mines area ).
- Thiru.Hans Raj Verma I.A.S Commissioner of Geology and Mining have formed a committee nominated me as a Chairman and Tvl. B.Jayakumar, K.A.Manimaran and N.Palani velu Assistant directors as members. The committee was formed for amendments and deletions Tamil nadu Minor Mineral Concession Rules, 1959. The Committee have submitted a report to the Director of Geology and Mining.
- I have given a speech in All India Radio under the title Vaaippukku Vazhi Kaati-career guidance Programme in Tamil from 19-12-2004 to 25-12-2004 for which I was given Rs350 from government of India.
- A Lecture was given to the Senior Audit Officers O/O of the Accountant General Chennai. I was awarded Rs.300 from Government of India.
- During my tenure as Assistant Director served in Tiruvallur District, Myself and my staff have seized so many vehicles indulged in illicit transportation of minerals.

1. Report on the detailed investigation of black granite in South Arcot, North Arcot districts and part at Chengalpattu District - Tvl P. Duraisami, T. Radhkrishnan, C. Veeraragu, S. Ansari.
Uses:
It is an universal fact, there is heavy demand for granites. The granites blocks can be exported in raw form and polished. Government may get sufficient revenue. The polished blocks is used in ornamental monuments, building purpose etc.
2. A report on clay / Shale around Vaippur and Sungawarshathram in Sriperumbudur Taluk, Chengalpattu district by P. Doraiswami and C.Veeraragu.
Uses:
The Clay available in this area may be used for stoneware making, brick industries etc.
3. Report on the fire clay occurrence in Malingambattu village, Panrutti Taluk, South Arcot district by T. Radhakrishnan, C. Veeraragu.
Uses:
The clay can be used for ceramic industries, making fuse carrier, ceramic utensils, pesticides etc. the area is mined by TAMIN.
4. A note on the pitting work for white clay deposit in Erichi village, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukkottai District by C.Veeraragu.
5. Report on the investigation of the white clay in and around Erichi village, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukkottai District by S.Nagamuthu and C.Veeraragu.
Uses:
The clay can be used for ceramic industries, making fuse carrier, ceramic utensils, pesticides etc.
6. Earthquake of 20th march 1984 in parts of Tamil nadu and Karnataka (a joint study of the state Departments of Geology and Mining, Tamil nadu and Karnataka ) by T.S. Paramasivan, R.Srinivasan, A.L.K. Sevuganchetty and C. Veeraragu.
7. A study on sand bearing areas and sea water in and Pulicat (Palaverkadu), Ponneri Taluk, Chengalpattu district by S. Nagamuthu and C.Verraragu.
Aim:
To find out the percentage of salt in the sea water.
8. A report on the prospecting for clays in the leaseholds of Tamilnadu Ceramics Ltd in Theranipalayam village, Lalgudi Taluk, Trichy District by R.Srinivasan and C. Veeraragu.
9. A report on the Earth tremor near Ariyalur in Trichy district by R.Srinivasan and C.Veeraragu.
10. A brief report on the detailed investigation of Kankar in Kasthurirangapuram, Shanmugarangapuram Villages, Radhapuram Taluk, Tirunalveli district by C. Veeraragu.
Uses:
The Kankar is used as blending material in manufacturing of cement. It is also used for white wash in the house after burnt in firekiln.
11. Reassessment of clay deposits in south Arcot district by C.Veeraragu and K.Ayyadurai.
12. A study on availability on molybdenum in Limestone, Available in Limestone Dump in India cements Leasehold area in Sangagiri, Salem District by C. Veeraragu, Somasekar and Rajasekar.
13. Drilling work on Limestone in Pamparai Village, Tirunalveli district by C. Veeraragu ( Head of the Team), Chokkalingam, Jayaraman and others. The drilling work was inaugurated by Thiru.Han Raj Verma I.A.S commissioner.
Participated in all India meeting on behalf of Commissioner of Geology and Mining conducted in New Delhi and other states

இவரது பணிக்காலத்தில் செய்த சாதனைகள்
- 12க்கு அதிகமான Geological Investigation Reports சமர்ப்பித்துள்ளார்.
- வாழ்க்கைக்கு வழிகாட்டி” என்ற தலைப்பில், இவரது பேச்சு சென்னை வானொலியில் டிசம்பர் 2004ஆம் ஆண்டில் ஒரு வாரமாக ஒலிபரப்பப்பட்டது.
- சென்னையில் உள்ள அக்கௌண்டென்ட் ஜெனரல் அலுவலகத்தில் பணிபுரிந்த சீனியர் ஆடிட் ஆபீசர்களுக்கு மைன்ஸ் & மினரல் சம்பந்தமாக விரிவுரை ஆற்றியதற்காகவும், அகில இந்திய வானொலியில் (All India Radio) இவரது பேச்சு ஒலிபரப்பப்பட்டதையடுத்தும் முறையே ரூ.350, ரூ.300 மத்திய அரசால் இவருக்கு சன்மானமாக வழங்கப்பட்டது.

- நவம்பர் 2003இல் புதுடெல்லியில் நடந்த 19th World Mining Congress விழாவில் புவியியல் மற்றும் சுரங்கத் துறைக்கு வழங்கிய சிறப்பு பரிசை மத்திய கனிம வளத்துறை இணை அமைச்சரிடமிருந்து துறையின் சார்பாக இவர் பெற்றார்.
- இவரது தலைமையின் கீழ், புவியியல் மற்றும் சுரங்கத்துறையின் Tamilnadu Minor Min-eral Concession Rule 1959இல் திருத்தங்கல் செய்து அறிக்கை சமர்ப்பிக்கப்பட்டது.
- இவர் மாசுக்கட்டுப்பாடு வாரியத்தில் 2004இல் ஒரு உறுப்பினராகவும் செயல்பட்டார்.
- இவர் 1997-1998இல் திருவள்ளூர் மாவட்டத்தில் கனிம வளத்துறை உதவி இயக்குநராக பணிபுரிந்தபோது இவருக்கு பல அச்சுறுத்தல்கள் வந்ததையடுத்து இவரது பாதுகாப்பு கருதி 1998ஆம் ஆண்டு அப்போதைய திருவள்ளூர் மாவட்ட ஆட்சி தலைவரும் தற்போதைய தமிழ்நாடு தலைவர், தமிழ்நாடு தேர்வாணை குழுமம் (Chairman - Tamilnadu Public Service Commission) திரு.எஸ்.கே.பிரபாகர், இ.ஆப., அவர்கள் இவருக்கு பிஸ்டல் உரிமம் வழங்கினார் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது. இந்த பிஸ்டல் உரிமம் தற்போது நடைமுறையில் உள்ளது..
திரு.சி.வீரரகு, அனைத்திந்தியத் தமிழ் எழுத்தாளர்கள் சங்கத்தின் வாழ்நாள் உறுப்பினர் மற்றும் புரவலராக உள்ளார். இவரது இரண்டாம் படைப்பு "வாழ்க்கை" நூல் வெளியீட்டு விழாவின்போது இவருக்கு 'எழுத்துச் சிற்பி' மற்றும் 5 & 6ஆம் நூல்கள் வெளியீட்டின்போது 'தமிழ்ச் செம்மல்' விருதும், 08.09.2019இல் மூன்று நூல்கள் வெளியீட்டின்போது தமிழ்ச்சுடர்,பாரதியார் பணிச்செல்வர் விருதுகள் அனைத்திந்தியத் தமிழ் எழுத்தாளர்கள் சங்கம் சார்பாக வழங்கிச் சிறப்பித்தது.
இவர் இதுவரை 48 நூல்கள் எழுதியுள்ளார். அதன் விவரம் கீழே தரப்பட்டுள்ளது. இவரது இரண்டாம் படைப்பு 'வாழ்க்கை' என்ற நூல் தமிழ்நாடு அரசு நூலகத்துறையால் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டு, 1000 பிரதிகளுக்கான ஆணை பிறப்பிக்கப்பட்டு, இந்நூல் அனைத்து மாவட்ட நூலகங்களிலும் வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது என்பதை பெருமையுடன் குறிப்பிடுகின்றார். மேலும், ஜூலை 2019இல் தமிழ்நாடு அரசு அறிவித்துள்ள சிறந்த நூலுக்கான பரிசு திட்டத்தின்கீழ், இவரது மூன்று நூல்கள் (2018இல் வெளியிடப்பட்டது) இயக்குநர், தமிழ் வளர்ச்சித்துறை அவர்களுக்கு அனுப்பி வைக்கப் பட்டுள்ளது.
மேலும், ஆகஸ்ட் 2019 அன்று வெளியிட்ட பத்திரிகைச் செய்தியை அடுத்து, தமிழ்த்தென்றல் திரு.வி.க. விருதுக்கான மூன்று நூல்கள் (08.09.2019 அன்று வெளியிட்டது) இயக்குநர், தமிழ் வளர்ச்சித்துறை சென்னை அவர்களுக்கு அனுப்பி வைக்கப் பட்டுள்ளது. இவருக்கு சாதனையாளர் விருது, உகரம் மற்றும் புதிய வாணிபம் மாத இதழின் ஆசிரியர் தெய்வத்திரு புலவர் பேராசிரியர் திரு.ஹுசேன் அவர்களின் மூலமாக சாதனையாளர் விருது மாண்புமிகு நீதியரசர் வள்ளிநாயகம் அவர்களால் 14.09.2019 அன்று சென்னை எழும்பூர் பாண்டியன் ஹோட்டல் வளாகத்தில் நடைபெற்ற விழாவில் வழங்கப்பட்டது. இவர் இந்திய அலுவலர்கள் சங்கத்தின் வாழ்நாள் உறுப்பினராகவும் உள்ளார். இவரது எழுத்துப் பணியை பாராட்டி இவருக்கு இந்திய அலுவலர்களின் சங்கத்தின் | சார்பாக 21.02.2021 அன்று நடைபெற்ற விழாவில் பரிசுப்பொருள், சான்றிதழ் வழங்கி கௌரவிக்கப்பட்டது.
இவரது படைப்புகள் 'வாழ்க்கை', 'சாதனையாளர்கள்' என்றா நூல்கள் தமிழ்நாடு நூலகத்துறையால் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டு, 1000 பிரதிகளுக்கான ஆணை வழங்கப்பட்டு, இந்நூல்கள் அனைத்து மாவட்ட நூலகங்களிலும் வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
திரு.வீரரகு இதுவரை 48 நூல்கள் எழுதியுள்ளார். இத்துடன் | இவர் அருள்தரும் ஆலயங்கள், இலக்கியக் காதல், பிரபஞ்சத்தின் மறுமலர்ச்சி, தகவல் உலா ஆகிய ஐந்து நூல்கள் செப்டம்பர்/அக்டோபர் 2022இல் வெளியிடப்பட்டது.
இவருக்கு 09.04.2022 அன்று கோவையில் நடந்த பட்டமளிப்பு விழாவில் D.Lit.(Doctor of Literature) இலக்கியத்தில் முனைவர் பட்டம் Global Human Peace University மூலமாக வழங்கி கௌரவித்தது. மேலும், மணிமேகலை அச்சகம், "தமிழ்நாட்டின் பிரபலமானவர்களின் விலாசங்கள் | என்ற புத்தகம் வெளியிட்டது, அதில் இவரது பெயர் பக்கம் எண்.456இல் 'உயர் அதிகாரி' என்ற தலைப்பில் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. இவரது சில புத்தகங்கள், சில அறக்கட்டளைகள் மூலமாக "சாகித்ய அகாடமி" விருதுக்கு அனுப்பிவைக்கப் பட்டுள்ளது.
இவருக்கு இலக்கியச் சோலைப் பதிப்பகம் 12.01.2023 அன்று நடைபெற்ற பொங்கல் திருவிழாவில் 'எழுத்துச் செல்வர் விருது' தமிழ்நாடு, தமிழ் வளர்ச்சித்துறை தலைவர் திரு.அருள் வழங்கி சிறப்பித்தார்.
பொதிகை மின்னல் ஆசிரியர் இவருக்கு 12.03.23 அன்று பொதிகை மின்னல் தமிழ் ஒளி என்ற விருது வழங்கி சிறப்பித்தார்.
